Ford Truggy 4 Wheel Steer Snownuts

Ford Truggy Snow Machine

Robert Terharr and his brother Rich built this one of a kind Ford Truggy. We call it a buggy because it is a mix of a truck and a full tube buggy. Robert has had this 1977 Ford f150 truck since he was 15. Growing up around Silverton, Oregon he would often go riding at Browns camp in the Tillamook State Forest. He recently decided to rebuild the truck to compete in the annual Top Truck Challenge compeition. Unfortunatelhy the race was cancelled. The good news is Robert was left with one awesome truck.

Robert’s Ford Truggy features a built 460 cubic inch Ford Big Block being fed buy dual propane mixers. The power runs through a Np 435 4-spd manual trans and a NWF BLACKBOX reduction/triple cable shift Np205 transfer case that splits the power to the front and rear Axletech 4000 steer axles equipped with air lockers and 20″ dual beadlock wheels wrapped in massive 54″ Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. The suspension is a Dual triangulated 4 link design front and rear 18×2.5 with FOA coilovers and 2″ air bumps dampening the ride. There is a full interior cab cage and a seat of corbeau xp suspension seats and belts to keep the driver safe when bombing through the snow. The rear of the truck has been Back halfed. This means the rear section of the frame was chopped off at the cab and rebuilt with tubing. Then the Front clip was tipped 16″ and the Rear bedsides were tipped 24″ to finish out the full truck look. We think the truck turned out great.
